Most of you are probably right in the middle of the holiday chaos. Some of you may revel in the meaning of the season, family time, etc. but some of you may be in the middle of a stress induced fog and counting the minutes to the new year and a more predictable schedule. Either way, why not take five minutes right now to sit down, take a few deep breaths and let go of the stress and anxiety that can often come at this time of year?
A Few Minutes to Clear Your Head
Why not picture the people that you are most grateful for, the moments you’ve cherished over the last year or even the moments you survived? Sometimes just a few minutes to clear our heads, think about those we love, and to give ourselves credit for all that we do can make the rest of our day seem that much better.
A wise colleague taught me the concept of giving ourselves credit. She said that women are so quick to point out their mistakes or weaknesses but so rarely give themselves credit for their own hard work, good intentions, and determination. Why not do that right this minute? What do you deserve credit for? How can you be grateful to yourself for all that you’ve contributed? Why not give yourself a criticism break and instead give yourself some well-deserved credit and accolades.
If you are inclined to do so, I’d love to hear what you came up with!
Love,
