I’ve always loved a good rags-to-riches story—not in the financial sense, but in the way of a life well lived. The kind of story where someone leans into what truly matters and finds a richness that can’t be measured in dollars.

Lately, I’ve been drawn to women’s stories in particular. Maybe it’s the shift in season, the call to reflection this time of year brings, or maybe I’m just seeking inspiration from womankind. Either way, I’m profoundly grateful for Her Story—and the women who are brave enough to share their most intimate journeys.

But here’s what I keep wondering: what about the women who never find their story? The ones who reach the end of life only to realize they never claimed their voice, never followed that nudge, never had their “this changes everything” moment? Sadly, I fear it’s more common than we think.

The truth I’ve found, reading these powerful stories again and again, is this: every heroine eventually finds her voice—and uses it. She moves past fear, shame, criticism, lack of support. She becomes passionate about something bigger than herself. And in doing so, she changes her world—and often the world around her.

In life coaching, we call this the “victim to victory” story. It’s the moment you wake up and say: That’s it. I will not live like this for one more day. From there, change begins.

As we step into this season of reflection, I can’t help but wonder: What’s your story? Who will you share it with—and when?

If you think you don’t have one, I promise you do. It’s waiting, under the fear, the comparison, the defensiveness. It’s in the moments when you drop the jealousy, the anger, the judgment, and instead open yourself to curiosity and possibility.

Be fearless. Live as if you own your story—because you do. The world doesn’t need another inheritance left to the family dog. It needs your voice, your courage, and your unique expression of joy.

So tell me—what’s your story this season?

 Love,
