This is the time of year when children head back to school and prepare for a long stretch of learning and growing. But what about adults; so many of us are stuck in our old ways, having stopped intent learning years go, and feeling as if our growing days are behind us. Why are we so willing to give up the joy that comes with being challenged to learn something new, to struggle, to study, to gain knowledge and abilities in new areas?
Take on a Learning Challenge for Yourself
How about this year as the children head back to school you take on a new learning challenge for yourself? Learn a new language, a skill, a hobby, or an athletic achievement. Why not set a goal for yourself to accomplish something new, fabulous, and to learn something that you’ve always wanted to learn? Start today by thinking about what you want to learn and then decide how you are going to go about doing so.
Do you need to get more information, sign up for a class, find some reference material, or find someone to take on this challenge with you? Get to it! Do it today and take on the joy and challenge that comes with learning something new. Here are a few ideas; read a book that is really challenging for you and set a daily page goal, write a blog or article on something that you really care about, start running, take up yoga, start to learn a new language, or take a class on something you know little about.
I’d love to hear about your back to school learning plan!

Char & I recently took up golfing and love it! We bought a book and even a starter set of clubs and I’ve done a couple rounds already….mostly driving ranges until we get better! It’s fun learning something new after being a mom!
I love this Heidi! Life doesn’t end when we become moms. In fact, it should be the beginning of a whole new life of learning and growing. Good luck with your gold game.
